Crew Leader
AHIP is looking to hire a full-time crew leader who will be responsible for the quality and quantity of rehabilitation jobs performed.
Primary Responsibilities
Serves as the team’s lead carpenter
Performs daily work tasks with a crew.
Directly supervises the carpentry staff.
Qualifications
Knowledge of local, state, and HUD building standards
General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and sanitary waste disposal systems
Must be able to implement and perform complex construction activities
Valid Virginia driver’s license required

AHIP is looking to hire a full-time carpenter for residential remodeling and renovation jobs.
Primary Responsibilities
Efficient implementation of construction tasks as assigned by the Crew Leader
Qualifications
Minimum three years of construction experience
General knowledge of all phases of renovation and remodeling, including roofing, is required
Valid Virginia driver’s license required
Work Schedule
Forty hours per week M-F, no weekends required
Work is approximately 95% on job sites and 5% in an office

Plumber
AHIP is looking to hire an experienced plumber for residential remodeling and renovation jobs in the local area.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct plumbing repairs as necessary for clients
Work is approximately 95 percent on job sites and 5 percent in an office setting
Qualifications
Prior experience in plumbing
The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Regular personal contact with clients, as well as representatives of federal, state, and local agencies, may be required. All contacts require professionalism, diplomacy, courtesy, and discretionary judgement
Lifting of equipment and materials up to 50 pounds is necessary
Valid Virginia driver’s license required

Training in lead-safe work practices will be provided
Work hours are Monday – Friday from 7:45 A.M. to 4:15 P.M., with weekends off
