Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation

This program assists home owners with long lasting repairs and improvements to homes of eligible families, ensuring each home meets HUD Minimum Property Standards.

Eligibility Requirements

Owner occupied residents of the county and city at 80% of the area median income or lower. The average median income of Albemarle County clients served through this program is 35% and 37% for City of Charlottesville residents. The area median income is figured on the entire household composition and income.   

Granted funds from the state / federal level are secured with a deed of trust. Home repairs to address health and safety issues as a priority. Housing Rehab is a comprehensive repair solution for the structure and home owner.
