Programs that “wrap around” the basic provision of housing are essential: they build community cohesiveness, strengthen households and offer key tools for day-to-day support, practical advancement and long-term success. Park’s Edge After School (PEAS): Five-day enrichment and after-care program for 40 kids ages pre-K through fifth grade. A partnership with the Piedmont Family YMCA, this program is often cited as one of the best reasons to live at Park’s Edge. Summer@Park’s Edge: Five-day, eight-week day camp which balances some academic prep for the upcoming school year with a lot of fun summertime activities, including swimming, field trips, movies, outdoor time and more. It is a dynamic community partnership involving the Piedmont Family YMCA, Greer Elementary School staff, parent volunteers and a host of community partners.
