Treesdale Park is a planned 88-unit multifamily community, to be located on East Rio Road in Albemarle County. A mix of two- and three-bedroom units, the new neighborhood will be home to households who earn up to 60 percent of the area median income. (Sixty percent of area median income is about $36,000 for a family of four.)
In addition to affordable, Treesdale Park will also be sustainably built and certified through EarthCraft and EnergyStar. In so doing, we will reduce the project’s overall environmental impact while helping residents keep energy and water costs down, allowing more of the family budget to go toward other essentials.
Treesdale Park will include its own community center, to include space for meetings, a computer lab, classrooms, daycare programs, a kitchen, a fitness center, and the Treesdale leasing office.

Treesdale Park will add 88 units to Albemarle County and Charlottesville’s affordable housing stock. It will harness the participation of a broad spectrum of community partners who will deliver programs and services to residents of all ages. And it will be a regional and national model for high-quality, innovative and sustainable affordable housing.
Community support is essential for a major affordable housing effort—to help make construction possible, and also to help make the new neighborhood a place of pride for residents, neighbors and the greater community.
