Community Tour Sites
- BF Yancey Elem School (tour, children's art, chorus, lunch in cafeteria)
- Simpson Park (games)
- Porters Village (Habitat home)
- Housing Repairs (Look for AHIP signs in yard of families assisted with
housing rehabilitation and emergency home repair services)
- Odd Fellows Hall (refreshments, Odd Fellows history)
- Camp Springs (Sustainable building products used to provide affordable
housing to first time home buyers)
Directions: From Interstate 64, take Exit 121 to Rte 20S. Follow 20S 11.8 miles
to Keene. Turn right on to Rte 712, then take an immediate left to Rte 715.
Keene Post Office on right. Follow Rte 715 for 2 miles. Turn Left onto Rte 627
(Porters Rd). Follow for 2 miles to stop sign. Cross over Rte 6, remain on
Porters RD. BF Yancey 1/4 mile on Left. |
